Made famous by legendary football player Bo Jackson, the Nike Air Trainer 3 makes its return this season in a seemingly-familiar iteration. 

This 'Midnight Navy' Air Trainer 3, a spin on one of the original 1988 colors debuted, features a mix of navy, red, and white, as a nod to the USA's star-spangled flag. 

Designed by Tinker Hatfield, around the same time as Michael's Air Jordan 3 Retro, the Air Trainer 3 shares a similar DNA and construction. The mid-cut's perforated leather upper is overlayed with a plastic heel wrap and signature forefoot strap for support and stability, while Nike's signature Air Unit can be seen in the midsole providing a cushioning still seen on modern footwear.
